Kitchen theme - Modern simple I have this page in Residence Magazine, where I gather my inspiration for each issue. My inspiration this time is based on my own thoughts for my new home, where it will be time for a minor renovation when I move in during late summer. Back to basics Modern simple - the kitchen with plain doors and a simple expression in combination with functional surfaces that adds character and sets the tone. Timeless and easy to live with. Here, we don't focus on luxurious details, but aim for a kitchen renovation of more sustainable dimensions. Repainting of doors where existing kitchen frames can be retained and an updating of countertops to natural stone or durable ceramics. Interior details with a simple cut, clear function and different types of wood and materials are mixed in a relaxed way. A kitchen without wall cabinets gives an airy simple expression and utensils and favorite details are stored visibly as part of the interior.
