Inspo @lineararchitects I dwell upon if I should write more in English. I made a promise to a follower to do that. Next year. And that was a promise made last year... Sometimes it comes all natural. Other days it feels to distant and unpersonal. But I´ll give it a try, for a while. Maybe Swedish will be main language followed with an English translation. Let me know your thoughts! This post was actually ment to be about another subject. The feeling of new beginnings. And how we can give ourselves a fresh start. Two years ago I spent my Christmas holiday reading inspiring books about how to become a minimalist and how to unclutter your home. Inspired by Goodbye Things and Marie Kondos, The Life-changing Magic of tidying up I went trough every room and storage unit in the house. I aslo held a sell out of furniture and props in my office space. It was the best feeling. To start over and start fresh. Knowing every little piece of your belongings. It also made me more aware of what I had, and made me think twice before I bought something new. I have kept that sense of control and awareness in my mind. But I have to admit, that my underwear drawer and my props are now living their own lifes again. They are no longer following the golden rules. I guess it´s time to reset the order. Start fresh. As I am planning to move during Summer, I kind of live in between the old and new. But I think it´s a good thing to always train to keep things in its place. Clening up the mess insn´t my favourite task. But the feeling afterwards. It´s simply the best! It is som much easier to stay focused and make the right decisions when you have a uncluttered home. Only surrounded with what you truly need. I wish you all a fab weekend and the best, new beginning! Hugs The minimalist inspiration for the home office by Line Architects makes me want to clean out my space even more. And I also fell in love all over again with the Husk Chair from B&B Italia.
